SYSPRO Inventory Forecasting enables you to produce forecasts based on advanced forecast algorithms that use sales history, and provides the tools to measure the accuracy of your forecasts. Inventory Families and Groupings extends the functionality of the Inventory Forecasting module by allowing you to define ‘collections’. In this hands-on training sessions, we’ll cover how to configure your system for optimized forecasting, how to define Collections to allow you to forecast a level above that of stock code/warehouse, and run through the Forecast Process. We start with the ‘company-level’ setup options. Next we move on to the IO Options Maintenance program, which allows you to configure forecasting options at stock code/revision/release/warehouse level. We then set up our selection sets. Selection sets enable you to tailor how stock codes are selected for use in various forecasting programs. To complete the setup, we take a look at the Demand History Review and how to make adjustment sales numbers as required. We also review how to define IO Collection Descriptions, and set up Families and Groupings. Next we move on to the Forecast Process, starting with the Pareto analysis. We consider how to do manual forecasts, batch forecasts, compare and review forecasts how to delete old MRP forecasts, approve the draft forecast, and look at forecast accuracy.
